Automatic Wizdom opt-out from modern experience on list and libraries on site collection level for classic sites

Microsoft has announced that, starting April 1, 2019 , it will no longer be possible to restrict an entire organization (tenant) to classic mode for list and libraries. This means that opt-out from the modern experience on list and libraries will have to be performed on site collection, site, list and library levels. You can read the entire Microsoft blog post here.

As a Wizdom customer running on classic SharePoint sites, this would mean that if a user navigated to site contents, site settings, list or libraries, then the classic look & feel, together with the Wizdom megamenu and branding would disappear.

To prevent this from happening, the Wizdom solution has already put site collection and site opt-out in place, so you don’t have to worry about the change introduced by Microsoft on April 1, 2019.

If you are running classic SharePoint sites without Wizdom, please make sure that you read the announcement from Microsoft and make sure that you understand the impact and what solutions you have available.
